Target Audience

The target audience is pharmacists, including clinical and health-system, ambulatory care, and community pharmacists, who care for patients with or at risk for NVAF. In addition, the target audience includes pharmacy directors, chief pharmacy officers, and other stakeholders in pharmacy practice.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss patient engagement, HCP collaboration, and counseling strategies that can improve self-monitoring, medication adherence, and timely, evidence-based treatment of NVAF, as well as reduce disparities in care

ACPE Universal Activity Number 0221-0000-22-033-H01-P has been assigned to this home study, knowledge-based activity. This activity is approved for 0.5 contact hours (0.05 CEU) in states that recognize ACPE providers. The activity is provided at no cost to participants. Completion of an evaluation and post-test with a score of 100% or higher is required to receive CE credit. Proof of completion will be posted in NABP CPE Monitor profiles. No partial credit will be given.

Participation in this self-study activity should be completed in approximately 0.5 hours. To successfully complete this activity and receive credit, participants must follow these steps during the period from April 12, 2022, through April 11, 2023:

Goal


The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of pharmacists regarding the implications of undiagnosed NVAF, types of detection for NVAF, the need to counsel and follow up with individuals who are at risk for or detected/diagnosed with NVAF, and the need to enhance collaboration with other HCPs to improve patient care.
