Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Discuss with patients and professional colleagues the evolution of currently approved prophylaxis therapy for patients with hemophilia A
  • Evaluate the clinical benefits of prophylaxis and adherence to treatment regimens for patients with hemophilia A
  • Implement strategies to optimize adherence to prophylaxis therapy in patients with hemophilia A, especially among the adolescent/young adult population
  • Plan effective hemophilia care that improves patient adherence and quality of life, considering clinical data on new nonfactor prophylaxis therapies vs current factor replacement standards

The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of healthcare professionals involved in the management of patients with hemophilia A, in the benefits of prophylaxis therapy and adherence to treatment regimens for patients with hemophilia A.
