Graphic Designer

Job Title:  Graphic Designer

Reports to: Production Manager

Location:  Reston, VA

Job Status: Full-time, Exempt

Job Summary
Produces PowerPoint slide presentations; print layouts for handout booklets, worksheets, brochures, invitations, posters; collateral marketing material; graphics including logos, and banner ads. The incumbent also creates and maintains graphics used to support web-based medical content on a PC/Windows platform.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creates and maintains graphics used to support print and web-based medical content including, slide sets, charts, schematics, graphs, etc.
  • Designs and implements advertising banners for medical programs.
  • Layout text and graphics for print deliverables.
  • Creates and maintains documentation on design specifications and branding guidelines.
  • Update and maintains PowerPoint and Creative Suite templates.
  • Creates and maintains graphical elements for clinicaloptions.com and inpractice.com including page layout and design, logos, banners, buttons, icons etc.
  • Performs searches for images.
  • Audio editing using Audacity or other audio editing software for Podcasts.
  • Designs save the dates for company events.
  • Any other tasks as required in support of production activities as deemed appropriate by Production Manager.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage time.
  • Ability to work under pressure without sacrificing quality.
  • Ability to work well with remote/telecommute employees

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field.
  • 2+ years design and production experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) on a PC/Windows platform.
  • Production environment experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel to company events
  • Domestic travel
