Target Audience

This program is intended for primarycare physicians and advanced practice providers (nurse practitioners/physician assistants/physician associates).

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this program is to improve learners’ competence in screening and treating individuals at risk for osteoporosis and address critical gaps in primary and secondary osteoporotic fracture prevention with pharmacotherapy and healthy lifestyle interventions.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize the latest recommendations for primary and secondary osteoporotic fracture prevention
  • Describe effective strategies for postmenopausal women to reduce osteoporotic fracture risk, including self-care interventions
