Target Audience

This program is intended for physicians, registered nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who care for persons with HIV.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Identify potential ART for patients with HIV, comorbidities, and resistance associated mutations through appropriate use of HIV-ASSIST
  • Integrate HIV-ASSIST into the clinical workflow when selecting ART for patients with HIV and comorbidities

Upon successfully completing the post-test with a score of 100% or better and the activity evaluation form, transcript information will be sent to the NABP CPE Monitor Service within 60 days.

Clinical Care Options, LLC has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 0.25 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. Approval is valid until August 26, 2022. PAs should only claim commensurate with the extent of their participation.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 0.25 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

The goal of this activity is to improve healthcare professionals’ knowledge and competence in selecting optimal ART for persons with HIV by integrating HIV-ASSIST into their clinical decision-making.
