Target Audience

This activity is intended for dermatologists, internists, family physicians, and other clinicians who provide care for patients with psoriasis.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Review key aspects of psoriasis epidemiology, including presentation, assessment of disease severity, comorbidities, and effects on patient quality of life
  • Compare and contrast current and emerging pharmacologic options for the management of psoriasis including efficacy, risk–benefit profile, tolerability
  • Implement shared decision making strategies in order to incorporate patient preferences into treatment selection and to optimize outcomes and quality of life for patients with psoriasis

Goal


The goal of this activity is to improve participants’ competence in implementing comprehensive and timely management plans for patients with psoriasis and to improve patient–clinician communication in order to improve disease management and quality of life for patients with psoriasis.
