Listen as expert rheumatology nurse practitioners discuss how they approach the diagnosis and management of axSpA. They also review best practices for recognition and monitoring of axSpA and criteria for specialty referral by primary care professionals.

Axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA), including ankylosing spondylitis and non-radiographic axSpA subtypes, is a chronic inflammatory arthritis which can be debilitating if untreated. While it impacts an estimated 1.7-2.7 million Americans, diagnosis is often delayed. This program includes two Medical Minute activities which will outline best practices for recognizing signs of axSpA, referring for specialty evaluation, optimizing management, and disease and therapy monitoring.
