Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Discuss results from multiple recently reported studies on the relationship between KRAS mutation status and response to therapy in patients with colorectal cancer, and explain the clinical implications of these results
• Summarize reported data on the efficacy of therapy combining anti–epidermal growth factor receptor and anti–vascular endothelial growth factor antibodies in colorectal cancer
• Describe reported benefits of addition of FDG-PET imaging to CT scan in patient selection for curative resection of liver metastases in colorectal cancer
• Summarize recent findings on use of gemcitabine in adjuvant treatment of pancreatic cancer
