Learning ObjectivesUpon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Evaluate recent data on the efficacy and safety of trastuzumab in combination with cytotoxic chemotherapy as adjuvant treatment for early-stage breast cancer. Describe the role of taxanes in early-stage breast cancer, particularly with regard to patient selection, dosing regimens, and scheduling. Review the efficacy and safety of cyclophosphamide, methotrexate, 5-fluorouracil (CMF), and anthracycline-containing cytotoxic regimens in early-stage breast cancer.
