This independent satellite symposium will provide clinicians with updated information on clinical practice guidelines, practical therapeutic applications of targeted agents, and ongoing research to expand the treatment armamentarium for the treatment of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.

Goal

The goal of this activity is to provide clinicians with updated information regarding clinical practice guidelines, practical therapeutic applications of targeted agents for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and ongoing research directions to expand the treatment armamentarium. 

Target Audience

This activity is intended for oncologists, hepatologists, and other multidisciplinary specialists treating patients with HCC.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize clinical practice guidelines and recommendations for the optimal treatment of HCC
  • Discuss the safety, efficacy, and tolerability of approved targeted therapies  for the treatment of HCC
  • Describe ongoing research directions with novel agents and recommendations for clinical trial designs for HCC
