  • Describe the impact of sustained virologic response to interferon-based treatment in the subsequent development of hepatocellular carcinoma and death
  • Review the results of recent studies evaluating the use of peginterferon/ribavirin combinations, including higher than typical dosages, for treatment of previous nonresponders to HCV therapy
  • Evaluate the results of trials of drugs in development for treatment of HCV infection
